About Vinter

Invierno AB (Vinter®) develops, monitors, and markets the Vinter Indexes, a family of financial benchmarks designed to underlie financial products. Vinter is a firm specializing in indexes capturing the nascent cryptoasset industry. Vinter is the leading crypto index provider in Europe, providing indexes to industry leaders in the emerging industry of exchange-traded cryptoasset products.

Background

Invierno AB (“Vinter”) is a registered Benchmarks Administrator governed by the European Benchmark Regulation (the “BMR”) and in compliance with the International Organisation of Securities Commissions ("IOSCO") “Principles for Financial Benchmarks” (the "IOSCO Principles"). Vinter is included in the European Securities and Markets Authority database over registered and authorized Benchmark Administrators.

Methodologies

The methodologies presented under this page disclose elements sufficient to allow stakeholders to understand how the indexes are derived and to assess their representativeness, relevance, and appropriateness for their intended use. The indexes are delivered through the VinterAPI, Bloomberg Terminal, and Refinitiv Thomson Reuters Eikon. The methodologies and benchmark statement are cumululatively referred to as the Index Calculation Framework, or the "ICF".
